what is financial planning?
It’s about taking stock of all aspects of your finances – budgeting, income and expenditure, investment, debt management, tax information and risk management – so that you can lead a happier, worry-free life. A good financial plan puts in place checks and measures to preserve and grow your wealth. It should also accommodate the major milestones in your life: marriage, having children, buying a new home, planning for further education, retirement, and all the other dreams you want to fulfill.
how will financial planning help me?
With a proper and detailed financial plan in place, you are in the driver’s seat. You know how each financial decision will affect other areas of your financial well-being. You will know exactly how and when you can achieve your various personal financial and lifestyle goals. Financial planning also plugs the leaky holes, because there are many possibilities as to how you can lose a hefty sum of money – divorce, bad financial decisions; or simply unnecessary taxes.
You have a clear investment strategy that will help you maximise profits at a risk level that you are comfortable with. You make better informed investment decisions and avoid the pitfalls of investing.
You prioritise your wants and desires, and most importantly, you have a financial plan that will take you from where you are now to where you want to be. You manage and cater for the various risks in life. You have a sense of calm as you know that even if the “what ifs” strike, your plans and hopes for the future for yourself and your family will not be dashed. You can look forward to pampering and enjoying yourself as you have put in place clear steps to achieve how you want to live during retirement.
how can ipac help me?
For most of us, money helps achieve some of the things we want in life. New experiences. A chosen lifestyle. Those extra indulgences. While most financial planners assess your assets and suggest investments, your ipac adviser will help clarify what’s important to you and the lifestyle you want to build or preserve.
Your adviser will guide you through various options and develop a step-by-step strategy to help you achieve your goals. They’ll help you put plans into action and provide ongoing advice to keep you on track as your needs and priorities, the laws and legislation, and investment markets change. Your adviser will only provide advice after considering your current circumstances, financial situation, personal investment objectives and needs.
